Aims and Objectives

1. To provide a common platform for the clinical endocrinologists and diabetologists of Bangladesh.
2. To create expanded working field in diabetes, endocrine and metabolic diseases for clinical endocrinologists and diabetologists.
3. To attract high quality scientists, doctors and nurses into the field of endocrinology and cliabetology and support their professional development to advancescience and medicine.
4. To educate about engage in, and promote clinical practice and research in Endocrinology and diabetology in the country and world-wide
5. To pursue the nationwide advancement of education, science and patient care in Endocrinology, cliabetology and metabolism.
6. To create facilities for training, fellowship and research activities for clinical endo ainologists and diabetologists in the international arena
7. To encourage and to guide the clinical endocrinologists and diabetologists for research and
8. To create greater opportunities for young endoainologists and diabetologists for further professional development
9. To publish scientific journals, periodicals, newsletters and health magazines related to endocrinology and diabetology.
10. To develop presentation and negotiation skills and leadership qualities among endocrinologists especially young generations of clinical endocrinologists and diabetologists.
11. To provide high quality conferences, workshops and scientific meetings those attract national and international interest.
12. To negotiate with GO and NGO authorities for further development and improvement of the infrastructure and activities of DepartmentlUnit of Endocnnology and Metabolism in different public and private institutes of the country for better care and service to the patients.
14. To maintain solidarity, unity, friendship and co-operation amongst all members of the association, as well as with those practicing other branches o f medical science.
15. To uphold and maintain the dignity and honor of the profession
16. To engage with our members, government bodies, funding agencies and the public to address and resolve issues those concern diabetes, endocrine and metabolic diseases.
17. To contribute and complimentto the activities of other similar professional organizations working with similar objectives by exchanging and sharing knowledge.
18. To represent the country in international organizations such as the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Western-Pacific Region of the International Diabetes Federation (WPR¬IDF), the International Endocrine Society ISE), the Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (AFES), the World Health Organization (WHO) and others.
19. To advise national bodies such as Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), Bangladesh Medical Association(BMA), Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC), Bangladesh Diabetic Association and other relevant organizations on the priority activities in the field of endocrine and diabetes health care.
20. To assist governmental (i.e., Director General of Health Services and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) and non-governmental organizations. policy makers and executive authorities for formulation of policies to provide better service to the patients with diabetes, endocrine and metabolic disorders.
21. To create awareness among people about diabetes, endocrine and metabolic diseases through seminar, meetings, publications, media coverage etc.
22. To perform all other functions that deemed to be necessary for the betterment of the clinical endocrinologist and diabetologists of Bangladesh as well as of the people and the patients of our country.
